Sharnay was undefeated in the Queensland Anglo Arabian Ring during 2006 and 2007 and was retired from the showring after the 2007 Qld Arabian Challenge Show where she was named Supreme Champion Arabian Derivative for the second time. She will now head the broodmare band at Heartthrob Arabians.
Sharnay would have to be one of the best Anglo's and Arabian Derivatives ever produced in Australia and we hope that she breeds on her wonderful attributes that have captured the hearts of many from all around Australia and the world. She really is a one in a million that is unreplaceable. During her showing years with us she was said to be a mare that could compete and win anywhere in the world by overseas judges.
Unfortunately Sharnay suffered a very bad bout of Colic in June 2008 and went through 4 hours of surgery whilst in foal. Both her and the foal survived and in January 2009 she presented us with a stunning Bay Filly by Jive Magic (imp). This filly is everything that I had hoped for and more and is proving to be quite the lady. We have named her Heartthrob Lend Me Some Magic and she will hopefully hit the show scene at the end of 2009. We expect that she will follow in her dam and sires footsteps.
Sharnay will hopefully make an appearance back on the show scene in 2010.
