Lendemar's Sharnay has now being home from the vet for two weeks and is getting better by the day. Unfortunately she still has to be stabled for another two weeks and will then go out into a small yard for another 4 weeks and then out into a small paddock until she is completely healed from her operation. I am just glad that I still have my beautiful girl in my stables.
Heartthrob Allouetta is now under saddle with Adam Oliver and is progressing extremely well. Adam is sure that she is going to be a showring superstar and has advised that she is an extremley balanced and comfortable horse to ride. At this stage we will be keeping Ally as our ridden prospect with Adam hopefully hitting the showring with her at the end of 2008 beginning of 2009. I can't wait to see her out in the ring, and I am so glad that she is in Adam's wonderful and very capable hands.
Heartthrob Arabella is currently in training with Veronica Mortimer and Veronica is very impressed with the way that she is progressing. Veronica has advised that she is a very sweet natured little girl and so easy to get along with. Both Ally and Bella will come home for a little while in a couple of weeks for a break and will then go back to Adam and Veronica for some more training. I have attached a photo of Heartthrob Allouetta below. This photo was taken after two weeks under saddle. Unfortunately it is not the best photo but at the moment I am without my good camera.

Well what a horrible week. I certainly wouldn't wish my week on anyone. Monday morning dawned with Lendemar's Sharnay showing signs of colic and us of course having to call in the vet to try and locate the problem and consequently fix it. By Monday afternoon I had raced her over to Oakey Veterinary Hospital to have further tests and she was placed on a fluid drip. By Tuesday afternoon we had to make the very tough decision to have her operated on. What the vets subsequently found was a 3.5kg mineral stone which they think may have taken up to 7yrs to form. Sharnay did not have any further problems and is now hopefully on the mend. I would like to thank the veterinary staff at Oakey Veterinary Hospital for taking such good care of our very special girl and for putting up with me on a daily basis. I basically spent the whole of today with her as I hate not having her at home. It is amazing how much you miss them when they aren't at your back door every day.
On a happier note Heartthrob Allouetta is progressing very well and Adam is very impressed with her. He will hopefully be riding her by the end of this week. I will keep this page updated on her progress.
I have inserted a couple of photo's below of Ascot Choir Master at the 2008 Qld Arabian Gala Event taken by AJL Photographics.

Our 2006 Foal Drop along with our 2006 Purchase (Ascot Choir Master) are now of course yearlings and are growing very nicely. I have attached some photo's below of Ascot Choir Master, Heartthrob Prince of Thieves and Heartthrob Precious as Gold taken recently. These photo's show how stunning these 3 individuals are and how nicely they are growing.
We can now also confirm that the following mares are in foal:
Lendemar's Sharnay to Jive Magic - We along with Heath and Rozzie Ryan are very excited about this mating and can't believe that our magnificent girl is in foal. She is currently 5 weeks in foal and has already got a cute little foal belly. Sharnay is coping very well with being pending motherhood. We can only hope that she copes as well when the foal comes. The resulting foal will be offered For Sale. Your enquiries are welcome. We expect nothing but a true show and competition horse from this mating.
Arabenn Natural Style to Roseden Beyond Expectations - Unfortunately Fay did not go in foal this season. We can only hope that next season will prove different. We are sure that due to the lateness of breeding the mares due to EI and also the funny seasons that we are having that this is the reason Fay did not go in foal. Thank you to Belinda James for all your help with collecting of Semen from Odie. I was looking really forward to this mating and the resulting foal, however it was not to be this year.
Chaswyck Dream On to Heste Arabique First Impression - We already have one beautiful filly by the stunning Ren and I can't wait to see what this mating brings us. Dream has produced for us to date two stunning fillies. Thank you to Viv Motbey for your patience. I understand that due to the EI outbreak and difficulty with moving Chilled Semen and Mares that Dream will be the only mare going in foal to Ren for this season. I expect that this foal will be simply stunning. Dream is a gorgeous mare with wonderful breeding being by Simeon Sochain who in turn is by Simeon Sadik and out of a Mare by Rave VF we expect to get a truly stunning Partbred Colt or Filly and hopefully this time it will be buckskin. If this resulting foal is a colt it will be offered For Sale. Your enquiries are welcome.
Rappe Dance to Cor Roman Ego Z - This stallion has to be seen to be believed. He is just stunning and a real eyecatcher. Cor Roman Ego Z is owned by David Finch of Finch Farm. This foal will be jumping bred but as Cor Roman Ego Z also carries dressage bloodlines we expect that this foal will be stunning in whatever field. The resulting foal from this mating will also be offered For Sale. Your enquiries are welcome.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Wilson't Equine Breeding Centre for all their hard work and timeless hours that was put into getting my mares in foal. I would especially like to thank Robyn Woodward. Robyn puts in some unbelievable hours and has some truly stunning results. She along with Max Wilson and the other veterinary practitioners at the practice are first class veterinarians and I know that my horses are always safe in their hands, and as Max and Robyn know my horses are very well looked after and will only ever have the best treatment no matter what the costs. Once again thank you Max and Robyn and all the team. I look forward to working with you again this year.

Heartthrob Kissed by a Scoundrel (Kilvington Scoundrel (UK) x Ulah First Kiss) is growing very nicely. She is now 4 weeks old and full of beans. I have attached a photo below of her now. she is really a stunning filly with lovely movement.
Heartthrob Precious as Gold had her first led lesson with Christian Rebsdorf on Friday, 1st February and proved to be a very quick learner. She is a simply stunning filly with the most gorgeous nature. She is also an extremely friendly girl who loves having attention. I have also attached an updated photo of Precious.

Finally some pictures of the newest addition to our Family. We would like to introduce to the world Heartthrob Kissed by a Scoundrel (Scarlet). Scarlet was born on the morning of 01/01/2008. She is by the beautiful Kilvington Scoundrel who resides in the UK at Whalton Stud out of our very gorgeous Ulah First Kiss (Urubula Regal Promise x Willowcroft Parisian) and carries the bloodlines of Bwlch Valentino, Rotherwood Footlight (Imp), Rosslayne Blue Peter (Imp) and The Laird (Imp). She is a truly stunning and very proud filly with gorgeous light movement. We expect that she will go Galloway due to her very long legs. She has a lot of filling out to do and I am sure is going to be truly stunning.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE.
Our first and only foal for the year has being born, 1 week overdue, I am sure she just wanted to be a 2008 baby. We have ended up with a stunning black/brown filly from Ulah First Kiss. This filly carries some wonderful bloodlines being by Kilvington Scoundrel (UK). Ulah First Kiss is of course by Urubula Regal Promise out of the mare Willowcroft Parisian who was by Willowcroft Vagabond. Photo's will be posted as soon as she is not so scrunched up. She is a truly lovely filly with very long legs and will be named Heartthrob Kissed by a Scoundrel (Scarlet for short).
We have now being granted a permit from the DPI for moving of our Mares to Wilson's Equine Veterinary Services to be AI'd so we will start moving them this week.
Due to the EI outbreak some of the breedings have changed so the following mares are now booked in to the following stallions:
Lendemar's Sharnay to Jive Magic - We would like to thank Heath and Rozzie Ryan for their understanding and patience at this difficult time. You have being truly wonderful and a pleasure to deal with. We are looking very forward to this mating. Provided Sharnay does go in foal the resulting foal will be offered for sale and should be very exciting.
Arabenn Natural Style to Roseden Beyond Expectations - I am looking very forward to this mating and the resulting foal. Odie is a lovely stallion and I am sure will go extremely well with Fay. Thank you to Belinda James of Bellevale Riding Ponies for your patience and help.
Rappe Dance to Cor Roman Ego Z - This stallion has to be seen to be believed. He is just stunning and a real eyecatcher. Rappe Dance is an older maiden mare so hopefully we don't have any trouble getting her in foal. Cor Roman Ego Z is owned by David Finch of Finch Farm. He is the only stallion in Australia by Cor D'Alme I Z who is by Cor De La Bryere. He carries the wonderful bloodlines of Grannus, Aachen and Ramiro Z. This should be a very exciting mating and was a last minute decision. Thank you to David for allowing us the opportunity to breed to this beautiful stallion. The foals that we saw on the ground by this stallion were just stunning.
Provided all mares go in foal with no hiccups next years foal drop should be a very exciting one, and I can't wait.
More exciting news. At this stage Heartthrob Allouetta is to be broken in by Adam Oliver in March this
year. Adam saw Ally earlier this week and has advised that he thinks she is a stunning mare with the potential to do extremely well under saddle. I can't wait to see her up and going and am sure that Adam with his kindness will do an extremely good job in breaking her for us and hopefully provided he has no other committments showing her at a couple of shows for us under saddle. Thank you so much Adam.
And the good news just keeps coming.
At the end of October last year I entered several of the horses in the Horse Shows Magazine On-Line Horse Show. I never thought that we had a chance in winning anything especially when I saw the entries flow in and the beautiful horses that were being entered; so when I got the email advising that Lendemar's Sharnay had gone Grand Champion Led Exhibit of the Show and Top 5 Ridden Exhibit I could not believe it. This just goes to show how stunning this mare really is. Sharnay was the only horse entered in the show to go Top 5 Led and Ridden. Congratulations to our magnificent girl. Heartthrob Jazzmine also went Reserve Champion Led Warmblood Exhibit.

Due to the EI Outbreak the very difficult decision has been made to put Heartthrob Tinkerbell back into work and train her for eventing, which I have no doubt she will be very good at due to her stamina, love of people and willingness to please. She will be trained and competed under the very capable hands of Kristy McKenzie. Kristy has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to eventing and training horses to be quite and willing, and at the same time very competitive in this field. We look forward to Pixie representing Heartthrob Arabians in this field and are quite sure that she along with Heartthrob Arabella will make us very proud.
Another change due to the EI Outbreak has being the planning of putting Lendemar's Sharnay in foal to Regardez Moi for this season. Due to Regardez Moi only being available through Natural Service we have decided to breed Sharnay to Jive Magic for this season. This breeding should also be very exciting. We are hoping that we will be able to start breeding mares at the end of December this year.

We have now been in Lockdown due to the EI outbreak for 9 weeks and EI is getting closer to us by the day (it is now only about 10km away). It seems it will only be a matter of time before our horses come down with this dreaded infection and it takes over our stables and lives and we are constantly taking care of sick horses. We have our fingers crossed that if the horses do get it they come through okay with no complications.
We have also been tackling quite bad storms over the last couple of weeks which normally we would not see until the end of October beginning of November. I had the opportunity on 10 October to take some photo's of these storms rolling in. Some of these photo's I have posted below. I have also had the opportunity to take some more photo's of my beautiful boys (see Stallions Page for these photo's). They are both growing into magnificent animals and I can't wait until our show season starts up again. It should be very exciting. Heartthrob Precious as Gold also just keeps growing. She is turning into a truly lovely filly and currently stands about 13.3hh I hope to be posting some more up to date photo's of her soon.

The Storms Rolling In on Wednesday, 10 October 2007. We were lucky enough to not get hit badly by this one however, it did do some severe damage in the surrounding areas of Brisbane and the outer areas of the Darling Downs.
Thursday, 27 September 2007
As the whole of Australia is now well aware we are fighting the terribe Equine Influenza and as we are situated on the Darling Downs in Queensland we are currently in a Red Zone, which of course means we are not allowed to move horses and we are also currently unable to get farriers, vets or any other services to our horses and unfortunately we are now starting to suffer like the rest of the as they say "Recreational" horse industry. Horses which we were getting ready to show at the end of October have now been put out until we know what is going to happen and the mares that were meant to breed this year are patiently waiting and who knows when anyone is going to purchase a horse from either Queensland or New South Wales again. We had planned to breed 5 mares this year through both Natural Service and AI. At this stage it looks like neither will go ahead as we are currently unable to move the mares so they will not be going to the vets to be AI'd and Lendemar's Sharnay was meant to be going down to Regardez Moi. This will unfortunatley now not be happening. We had the following mares booked to the following stallions:
Heartthrob Tinkerbell to Mirinda Jack of Diamonds
Chaswyck Dream On to Heste Arabique First Impression
Lendemar's Sharnay to Regardez Moi
Arabenn Natural Style to Roseden Beyond Expectations
We of course were looking very forward to breeding the mares to these magnificent stallions.
To all the people out there whom currently have horses with this dreaded infection we feel for you everyday. I hope that your horses get better soon. We are lucky at this stage to not have horses with this infection, however it is closing in on us day by day and it is only a matter of time now. Each morning I dread going out to the horses in the fear that I am going to be greeted with a horrible cough.
I have attached a photo below of Ascot Choir Master and Heartthrob Prince of Thieves currently enjoying a break from being groomed and pampered everyday. The disappointing thing is they look absolutely magnificent as they were been prepared for The Top of the Range Arabian Event which was to be held a the end of October. Who knows when they are going to see a showring again.

We attended the Arabian Triumph Show in Maryborough on 30/06/2007 and 01/07/2007 and had a fantastic show. Ascot Choir Master at his first show at 8 months old went Champion Arabian Riding Pony Exhibit, 1st in the Weanling Arabian Derivative Youngstock Exhibit and then went on the be named Reserve Champion Youngstock Exhibit. Heartthrob Allouetta came 2nd in the Arabian Riding Pony Female 3 years and over, 1st in the Arabian Derivative Show Horse over 3yrs under 14.2hh and then went on the be named Champion Arabian Derivative Show Horse 3yrs and over, which was a fantastic result against some magnificent horses.
Sunday, 17 June 2007
Our next show for the year will be the Arabian Triumph Show to be held in Maryborough on 30/06/2007 and 01/07/2007. We have entered Heartthrob Allouetta and Ascot Choir Master for this show. This will be Choir Master's first show as he unfortunately missed out on competing at the Qld Arabian Challenge Show as he had decided to have a big growth spurt the week before.
Heartthrob Prince of Thieves is growing into a very nice colt and is proving that he is very intelligent and a real little show off. Prince is a stunning individual and will hopefully hit the show ring at the end of this year. We are hoping to post some new photo's of Prince and Choir Master onto the website shortly.
We will start breeding the mares in October this year. We are currently looking at breeding the following mares to the following stallions:
Heartthrob Tinkerbell to Mirinda Jack of Diamonds
Chaswyck Dream On to Heste Arabique First Impression
Lendemar's Sharnay to Regardez Moi
Monday, 28 May 2007
Lendemar's Sharnay and Heartthrob Allouetta attended the 2007 Qld Arabian Challenge Show at the beginning of May and we couldn't have had a better show. Sharnay won Led Anglo Arabian Mare 3yrs and Over and then went on to be declared Champion Anglo Arabian Exhibit. Heartthrob Allouetta came 5th in her class in one of the best lineups of Arabian Riding Pony Mares that I have seen. Ally did very well in stiff competition. Sharnay was then competed under saddle by Veronica Mortimer. Veronica took over the reins for this show and had her first ride on Sharnay the Thursday before so her accomplishments with Sharnay on the weekend were very good considering. Sharnay came 3rd in the Open Arabian Derivative Under Saddle over 15hh. Thank you Veronica for taking over the reins with such short notice. You did a wonderful job. Due to Sharnay taking out Champion Anglo Arabian Exhibit she was then eligible to compete for Supreme Champion Arabian Derivative. Our hopes were high but we never thought that she would walk out with the Supreme Champion Sash. I would like to thank Tess Hutchinson, Veronica Mortimer and Shannon Parry for all there help over this wonderful weekend as I had injured myself on the Thursday before. I couldn't have done it with out you. Sharnay will now most likely be retired from the Led ring.
The Toowoomba Dressage Championships were held from 24th to the 27th May and we had great pleasure in having Heath Ryan compete on the magnificent Regardez Moi. I was very lucky this weekend and had the chance to actually talk to Heath and Rozzie and get up close to Regardez Moi, and what a magnificent animal he is. We have now decided to breed Lendemar's Sharnay to Regardez Moi at the end of this year (all going well). We are very excited about this and hope to have a magnificent foal on the ground late 2008. Hopefully Sharnay will breed on very well and I don't think we could have picked a more magnificent stallion to breed her to.
